Dear Lower School Families,
This past Friday, students put themselves on the world stage during our TEDx event. This was a wonderful way for them to share messages of importance and gain this experience to express themselves in front of many. One of our fourth-grade students, Xavier Dicoi, presented “Helping Others Can Unexpectedly Help You More.” A huge round of applause and congratulations to Xavier and all the student speakers.
ERB TESTING – Grades 2-5 ONLY
ERB standardized testing will occur next week on Tuesday, April 30, through Friday, May 3, during the morning hours (approx 8:30-11:00 am). Two tests will be given each morning, with a break in the middle. Grade 2 will complete two tests in total over two days. Please ensure your Grades 2 through 5 students get plenty of rest and have a healthy breakfast during the testing week. Also, please be sure that computers are completely charged each morning. Please send in a water bottle, an extra snack, and a sweatshirt, and ensure they have a book to silently read when they finish their test.
We ask the students to arrive NO LATER than 8:15 am on these testing days. Grades 2-5 students who arrive after the first section of the ERB test has begun will need to wait until the end of the section before they can enter the classroom to maintain an undisturbed testing environment. Late arrival will also necessitate the students in grades 2-5 to make up the missed section in the afternoon. If a student is absent for an extended period, we may only be able to make up some subtests. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we value your support in this important process!
For those of you who will celebrate Passover, we wish you and your families Chag Pesach Sameach!!
Sincerely,
Kim Anglemyer
